Adrian Richardson and the La Luna Staff visit Chapman Hill
Chapman Hill sent the Rainbow bus to collect Adrian and his staff for a visit to Chapman Hill.
Adrian has used Chapman Hill Leccino for many years, so it was time his staff visited the grove.
They came prepared with buckets to pick Kalamatas to preserve for service at La Luna.
We all lunched in the woolshed on Tapenade, marinated olives, Slow Roasted Lamb, Salads dressed with Leccino, Apple cakes and Quince Frangipane Tart from the Chapman Hill orchard.
Great local wines from our friends at Bylands, Box Grove and Paul Osicka's were enjoyed too.
Harvest of the 2011 Olive crop completed
It is an exciting time at Chapman Hill as we have just completed our 2011 harvest.
In the first week of June the contract harvester arrived to harvest the fruit.
Each variety was harvested and pressed separately, and will then be settled for approximately 4 weeks prior to bottling in July.
